Dick Nethercut has been missing for 12 days.
Blog: Day 4
Most of you know this, I'm sure, but when I title the page with the day, I am referring to the number of days that the blog has been around, not the number of days that Dick has been missing. But today, I decided to post the number of days that Dick has been missing and continue forward with this count until he is found.
If this practice seems cold or insensitive to you, let me know and I will stop and if some people are OK with it and some are not, then I will move the information to the bottom of each post.

Thank you, Lori, for setting up the blog and for encouraging us to write. I think there must be so many folks on the inside that don't know what is happening. And thank you, Tim, for the up-dates.
ReplyDeleteQuakers 'hold Richard in the Light' of love and peace and tenderness: of Spirit. I think of him many times during the day and always offer up the prayer of Light.
Darrell and I went into Bridgewater for the first workshop there, and then for maybe a half-dozen more before it got shut down for legal reasons that we could not change. AVP was tremendous for those men - as it is everywhere.
We will never forget when Dick told his story to that first group of men. How quiet they got listening and how deeply they loved him for his willingness to share the story, but that, even in the face of it, he wanted to be with them. Many times over in those workshops, Dick was called upon to offer his presence to their pleas of forgiveness and acceptance.
I agree that RADIANT is the perfect adjective name for him. He would really light up in seeing an old friend or being able to serve the men on the inside.
Regardless of where he is now, I am certain that he knows of our love and respect for him and his tireless hours of work over the years. If he is alive, he knows we are searching for him. If he has crossed over, then he is tenderly aware of our deep concern and tender hearts.
Take gentle care, Susan Hefte, Clearwater, FL
