Day 3

I'll start the check-in this morning. I'm feeling pretty antsy today. I'm unsettled that the Acton police has stopped searching the conservation area.

Yesterday I was thinking about one of the Light and Livelys where one person is supposed to make another person laugh. I was supposed to make Dick laugh and he had an expression on his face that said "I'm not going to laugh no matter what you do." But then I started doing turkey calls. He didn't budge when I made the first one, but I could see his face quiver a bit. But then when I did it again he busted up laughing right away and I just did a victory dance around the room.

  1. I think Dick liked daring us to make him laugh and the burst he would give when we were successful was always well worth the effort!

I spoke with my lawyer this morning who knows and highly respects Dick and he was also concerned about how things are being handled. I am hoping some questions will be answered soon and we can be given a clearer understanding of the hows and whys. According to national statistics, Dick is one of an average 800,000 missing persons reported annually nationwide. The best thing we can do is stay in touch with those investigating the case on a daily basis...I believe our persistence will continue to fuel their persistence.

  2. I'm glad to be receiving daily updates (thank you, Tim) or else I would be climbing the walls wondering what's going on.

  3. Hi Lori, I think we really need a light and lively right now. Things are much too sad and serious to be healthy.

I was wondering about what we can do if the situation doesn't change soon. I know that some people hire a private investigator. I don't have the money for that, but maybe others do or we could raise some. What do you think?

Thank you for the updates, Tim.
